Why an Annual Fund?

Catholic schools are typically funded through four sources of i
ncome: tuition, parish support, fundraising, and endowment income. In the future, we believe the portion of income that comes through fundraising will need to grow in order to keep tuition at an affordable level for young families and to reduce pressure on the parish budget. While the annual fund will ask parishioners to pray and consider a gift to support the school, we also see this as an opportunity to expand funding beyond the parish.
There is a compelling case that can be made for supporting Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School. We plan to reach out to the greater Beloit community and the thousands of alumni that live around the country who have a heart for OLA. For parishioners, all gifts for the Annual Fund should be above and beyond annual stewardship support for the parish, which remains the top priority.

Gift Designations
While undesignated gifts give Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School the greatest flexibility, some donors may prefer to direct their support to designated areas.
Technology
Technology is fully integrated in the educational experience of students at OLA Catholic School. Whether it goes to hardware, software, online resources, or technology training for faculty and staff, your gift for technology resources will ensure that our students have a competitive advantage in an ever-changing technology landscape.
Tuition Assistance (The McMorran Fund)
OLA Catholic School seeks to make a Catholic education available to all who seek it. The McMorran Fund is a spendable fund that was created to honor the career and dedication of long-serving Principal Arlene McMorran. It provides tuition assistance to all who demonstrate need.
Where The Need Is Greatest
Support given to “Where the Need is Greatest” allows OLA Catholic School maximum flexibility in using your thoughtful gift. Whether it is for teacher training, materials for religious instruction, or a variety of other critical needs, your unrestricted gift gets put to use immediately upon receipt.

Gifts in Memory or Honor Of
Gifts in honor of or in memory of are an excellent way to pay tribute to those who made sacrifices to give you a quality Catholic education. If you would like to give a financial gift in honor of or in memory of a parent, family member, teacher, staff, or community member, the option is available.
This special acknowledgment will be publicly recognized along with the list of other supporters.
